Las historias de este año

Voices 2021 is formed by four monologues. The first one narrates the story of a middle-aged woman with a rough childhood. She lived with very religious parents and got hooked on drugs, but through volunteer work in a rescued animals foundation got clean and connected again to love and life. The second one tells the story of another middle-aged woman who fell in love and married an alcoholic. She went through an abortion, domestic violence, and from scratch, rebuilt her life. The third story talks about the challenges of being the mother of a gifted and Asperger child. From dealing with the unexpected diagnosis to trying to fit and switch the mindset of family and friends. Finally, the last story is narrated from the perspective of a daughter learning to love and forgive her dying mother. She abandoned her when she was just a kid, and they reconnected in those final years of convalescence. All of them include abandonment and self-esteem issues. But conclude by showing how we all can connect with something beautiful inside that helps us go through life's challenges.
