Open Scene's FLAE awarded United Arts of Central Florida's Diversity in the Arts grant
This April Open Scene was awarded the United Arts of Central Florida's Diversity in the Arts grant for our 1st. Latinx Performing Arts Festival. This grant assists in producing more opportunities for BIPOC artists and the creation in Spanish.
CONCURSO
Orgullosos de celebrar la creación en español Open Scene se complace en producir el I Concurso de Dramaturgia Escena Abierta. La convocatoria se mantuvo abierta desde el 15 de abril y hasta el 01 de julio de 2021.
La obra ganadora será anunciada a más tardar el 01 de agosto, y la producción de la lectura dramatizada se hará para finales de septiembre en homenaje al mes de la Hispanidad.
Proud to celebrate the creation in Spanish, Open Scene is pleased to produce the I Open Scene Dramaturgy Contest. The call was open from April 15 to July 1, 2021.
The winning work will be announced no later than August 1, and the production of the dramatized reading will be done by the end of September in tribute to the month of Hispanic Heritage.

Audiovisual shorts series that compiles and recreates some of the best cultural productions of the Hispanic world. Poetry, music, cinema, theater, literature, visual arts. Starting with Spain and from Argentina to Venezuela in alphabetical order, a cast of Latin artists creates a mosaic of emotions to our senses' delight.

Open Scene is
A 501 (c) (3) women-led BIPOC nonprofit corporation organized for the advancement of arts education, generating quality experiences to connect people through the arts. We create opportunities for the dissemination of our cultural expression and local and foreign contemporary performing arts productions, and with that, preserve our culture and language and promote the cultural exchange. As a collective, we count on all kinds of professionals from different backgrounds, mostly Hispanics.
Somos una organizacion liderada por mujeres BIPOC sin fines de lucro constituida para el avance de la educación en las artes, generando experiencias de calidad con la idea de conectar a la gente a través del Arte. Creamos oportunidades para la divulgación de producciones artísticas locales y foráneas, y con ello salvaguardar nuestra cultura e idioma, y fomentar el intercambio cultural. Como colectivo, contamos con toda clase de profesionales de distintas formaciones y orígenes, mayormente hispanos.
